Hotel Review: Newport Bay Club

I love anything Disney, I mean the addiction is serious! When I visited Paris in the Fall, I knew I had to cross off another international Disneyland. When choosing a hotel there are two main things to consider whether you want to be on or off site. I was spending a few days at Disneyland I knew staying on site was the best plan. There are six Disney hotels, two apart of their nature resorts and eight partner hotels to choose. Keep reading for my full experience at Newport Bay Club hotel.

Newport Bay Club is in a great location because you easily walk to both Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios. The only hotel that is closer to the parks is the Disneyland Hotel, but it can be more expensive. This is a great compromise on location and price!

This is a four-star hotel has a gorgeous coastal theme. It went under renovation in 2015 and was finished in spring of 2016. The outside is meant to look like a 1900’s coastal mansion. It has 1093 rooms making it one of the largest in Europe! There are over six styles of superior rooms to choose from.  The largest room can fit up to five people which is great if you are travelling with your family. If you travel solo or with one other person (like me) the large double bed is perfect!

The next class is the compass club rooms and suites which have eleven options to choose from. Easily the nicest room is the presidential suite that holds six people with a large separate living room area.

Onsite you have two main restaurants to choose from and one bar. Cape Cod is a buffet style restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It can be pricey but does have a good selection to choose from.

Yacht club is a fine dining table service restaurant. You can expect a seafood-based menu with items such as scallops, swordfish, and clam chowder. They do offer vegetarian meals, but it is a limited selection.

The main event is obviously the bar which is called Captains Quarter’s. Open in the afternoon and evening you can find all sorts of cocktails and bar food here.

With over 1000 rooms there really is something here for everyone. The superior rooms are your standard hotel room with either a large bed, doubles, or doubles with a pull-out couch. You can opt to choose a lake view or add a terrace. I stayed in a superior corner room with a lake view and it was perfect! I loved being able to see the lake from our room every morning.

If you are wanting something more luxurious than staying in the compass club room or suite is for you! They have separate living areas and larger bathrooms. These rooms also include breakfast with a VIP FASTPASS per person per day!

Onsite they have two heated pools, one that is indoor and one outdoor. If you like to stay healthy on your trips, they even offer a fitness center. It’s a full-service gym that is open 24 hours, which is great!

My personal favorite amenity on site is the Sauna and Steam Bath! Open from 7:00am to 7:00pm it’s the perfect way to relax! Especially after you have been walking all over the parks.

I really loved my stay at Newport Bay Club and would recommend it with a few conditions. If you are only spending a short time at Disneyland Paris, you can find cheaper accommodations but be mindful of distance and travel time. I prefer to be able to walk or take an included tram to get to the resort. This hotel has the luxury I look for with a lower price point.
