Nice, France is an amazing city and a very LARGE one! If you want to hit all the main attractions, it is easy to do. Although the city is huge, it’s a beach town which means most people go to, you guessed it, the beach. If you decide to take a visit, then these are the top 5 things you must do in Nice!

I told you this is a beach town first and fore most and you would be crazy not to go to the beach even for a little bit. The French Rivera has some of the best beaches in the world and millions of people flock here every year!

This basically means old town, which is something you have to explore. Nice’s old town is so vibrant with little mom and pop shops all over. I had some of the best French Onion soup I have ever had in my life here! Just take a stroll through, you won’t regret it. 

As you may know by now, I love history and being a historian means every city I have to do one historical thing. The Nice Cathedral is the an awesome historical destination. Originally constructed in 1650 and completed in 1685. Specifically, it’s a Roman Catholic cathedral so it has that sort of architecture and is just stunning! 

Europe is known for their farmers markets, and Cours Saleya Market is Nice’s biggest and best one. From Tuesday through Sunday it’s a full farmers market with flowers and food vendors. On Mondays it turns into a flea market. It’s definitely worth a visit, even if you don’t buy anything but I would try some of the local food here. Its freaking amazing like the crepes…omg I’m over here drooling just thinking about them!

If you are up for a walk this is a great hike that leads to an amazing hilltop park. At the top is this gorgeous waterfall fountain. It has some of the most amazing views of the city and is also known as Castle Hill.
