If you only have one day to spend at Tokyo DisneySea there is strategic way to effectively get through the park. I would recommend that if you can, add an extra day but if that is not possible these are the highlights! I will cover where to eat, what to ride, and what shows to make time for. Tokyo DisneySea in one day is achievable!
Ready to dive on in?
If you have the budget, the best place to stay is Hotel MiraCosta. One of the main benefits is that the hotel is inside of the park! You will have a five-minute walk to get to the park saving you precious commute time. By staying on site, you will also get early access to the park. This hotel is really an experience within itself so even adding a half day to enjoy the hotel is well worth it!
FastPasses are going to be your best friend on a day trip. You also want to start your day EARLY. The more time you have at the park the more time you have to accomplish the best rides.
The tops rides that you want to try to grab a pass for would be:
- Nemo & Friends SeaRider
- Journey to the Center of the Earth
- 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
- Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull
- Raging Spirits
I would recommend getting a fast pass for Journey to the Center of the Earth and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Both are thrill rides and very unique to this park!
Depending on the day you visit you should be able to get through almost all these rides before 2:00pm. For your afternoon rides you want to hit the following:
- Turtle Talk
- Soaring: Fantastic Flight
- Venetian Gondolas
The great thing about Tokyo DisneySea is the rides are unique to the park and are different than what you will see at other parks around the world. The Park itself is one of a kind and the details are top-notch. Make sure to spend time walking around and enjoying all the architecture and atmosphere!
Popcorn
One of the best parts of the park are the unique snacks! If you like popcorn this is the park for you, they have flavors ranging from curry, milk tea, strawberry, cream soda, coconut, soy sauce & butter and so much more! They also have tons of cool popcorn holders which double as great souvenirs.
Ukiwaman
This looks like a life preserver, and it is sold at the Seaside Snacks. Its super tasty as it’s a dumpling style dish stuffed with shrimp!
Churros
Much like the popcorn there is unique flavors for the churros as well!
Maple Cream Bites
You can pick these up at the Sultan’s Oasis and its basically an ice cream puff with maple drizzle.
American Waterfront
If you need a beer, this is the place to get it! They even offer flavored beer that is typically seasonal. You can also hit Teddy Roosevelt Lounge which offers other types of alcoholic beverages.
Ristorante Di Cannaletto
One of the best designed restaurants in the park you truly feel like you are in Italy. This is a great place to get some really great Italian food. They offer salads, pizza, loads of pasta dishes and have more vegetarian options here.
Magellan’s
I would 100% have dinner here as this is one of the best themed park restaurants in the world! It’s extremely high end and located right on the water making it an ideal eating spot! Being the fine dining establishment, the cost is higher but the food options are great. It’s also an opportunity to add some romance to your day.
One of my favorite shows is Fantasmic as it’s done in the Mediterranean Harbor. It’s a huge production and is 100% worth it to take the time to see.
DisneySea is arguably the best themed park in the world! One of the things you must do is just walk around and explore. The details are amazing, and each land is so unique to explore. My favorite would be the Mediterranean Harbor, Lost River Delta, and the Arabian Coast.
If you love Disney, then you must likely love the shopping! What’s great is that every Disney Park has their own unique apparel. The Park doesn’t have a Main Street or World Bazar like the other Disneyland Parks do. You can find unique souvenirs and shopping all over the park. Make sure to take your time when exploring to snag some unique memorabilia.
There is so much to cover at Tokyo DisneySea in one day but if you follow this plan, you will hit most of the main things to do! Most importantly remember to have fun this is a once in a lifetime trip.
If you have visited the parks or plan on going, make sure to drop a comment about your experience!
