Hotel Review: Hôtel la Résidence du Berry

Versailles is a gorgeous destination with a decent number of hotels to choose from. It’s nothing like Paris with hundreds of locations and that’s why it’s so important to be careful when selecting where you are going to stay. I choose to stay at Hôtel la Résidence du Berry. It’s one of the cutest hotels in the city plus it’s luxury on a budget, which your girl’s wallet seriously appreciates.

Versailles is not an overly big city meaning most hotels will be near the main attraction- the Palace of Versailles! You will be about a 15-minute walk from the front gates. There are also a ton of restaurants nearby all within a few minutes’ walk. I have a top 5 list of things to do during your first trip to Versailles if you need some inspiration!

There are five room types at the Hôtel la Résidence du Berry from classic, deluxe, triple, family, the following and the apartment. They range in size for a standard room to a suite style. The larger rooms have their own separate living area. The family and apartment are perfect for a longer stay. You have a desk area, separate sitting area, and more storage space.

This hotel has the best continental breakfast I have ever had! They offer croissants for days! You can also get warm or cold breakfast and even take it to go! This was so crucial to me because when you have an early day being able to take FREE snacks is a huge perk.

Their restaurant right across from the hotel and is called Le Café des Arts. I ate there and they have some amazing food and drinks! It’s a family brewery and they take their service seriously.

I really did enjoy my stay and would recommend it. This hotel is perfect if you aren’t planning on staying onsite most of the day. They don’t have any onsite activities so it’s perfect for being close to explore the city. Bonus you can get rooms as low as €90 a night which is such a deal!
